Dr. Shaw earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright State University, and completed post-doctoral residency in neuropsychology at Indiana University, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology. She was awarded a Fellowship in neuropsychology in Xyocastro, Greece from the International Neuropsychological Association. Dr. Shaw also has specialized training in functional brain imaging (fMRI) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as advanced training in Behavioral Sleep Medicine from Penn State University.
Dr. Shaw currently directs a private practice in Yellow Springs, Ohio (11 years). Additionally, she serves as clinical faculty (3 years) at Xavier University, Department of Psychology and Walden University (3 years), in the capacity of site supervisor of advanced standing graduate students. She has experience as an adjunct professor, at Wright State University School of Professional Psychology, teaching Psychological Assessment and Brain and Behavior (anatomy and physiology of the brain).
Dr. Shaw is a member of the Ohio Psychological Association Board of Directors (8 years) and is currently the past-Vice-President of the Science and Education Leadership Team. (3y). She is also the past president (3 terms) of the Dayton Area Psychological Association.
Most recently, Dr. Shaw (2025) received the Yellow Springs, "Best Psychologist Award."
